Look, I'm going to be straight with you. Most businesses waste money on illustrations that don't do anything. Pretty pictures that sit on a website and don't convert. Stock images that make you look exactly like your competitors. We're different at Web Artist Pro. Been doing this for 10 years now in Folsom, California, and we've learned what actually works. Our illustrations help businesses get more customers. That's it. Whether you need a character design, product renders, or marketing graphics - we make stuff that gets results.
People ask us this all the time. Here’s the simple version:
2D illustrations are flat. Like the graphics you see on Instagram or in blog posts. They’re cheaper and faster to make. Great for social media, infographics, app designs – anywhere you need friendly, approachable visuals.
3D is when you need depth and realism. Think product photos but better because we can show your product from any angle, in any setting, before you even manufacture it. We use 3D for product visualization, buildings, technical stuff.
Most of our clients in California and across the USA end up using both. A character design might be 2D, but we’ll do their product shots in 3D. Mix and match based on what works.
We designed a mascot last year for a startup in Sacramento. Their whole team loved it, and more importantly, their customers loved it. Social media engagement went up over 300% in the first month. People were sharing posts just because of the character.
That’s what good character design does. It gives your brand personality. Something people can connect with emotionally. Way more powerful than just a logo.
We’ve done characters for tech companies, healthcare apps, education platforms, you name it. Some are cartoonish and fun, others are more sophisticated for B2B audiences. Depends on who you’re trying to reach.
Here’s something most business owners don’t know – you don’t need to manufacture your product to have professional marketing photos.
We work with companies launching on Kickstarter all the time. They send us their CAD files or even just sketches, and we create photorealistic 3D renders. Looks better than actual photography in most cases because we control everything – lighting, angles, backgrounds.
Had a client in Los Angeles last year who was about to spend $15k on a product photoshoot. We did the whole thing in 3D for less than a third of that cost. Plus they could make changes instantly. Want to see the product in blue instead of red? Takes us 10 minutes, not another whole photoshoot.
E-commerce stores love this because they can show products in lifestyle settings that would be impossible or crazy expensive to photograph for real.
You know what makes me crazy? When I see businesses using the same stock photos everyone else uses. I saw the same “diverse team having a meeting” photo on three different competitor websites last week.
Custom illustrations make you different. We create graphics specifically for your campaigns. And yeah, they perform better. Had an e-commerce client in San Diego test this – custom illustrations in their email campaign vs their usual stock photos. Click-through rate jumped 89%.
We do digital ads, landing pages, social media content, email graphics – basically anywhere you need visuals that don’t look like everyone else’s.
Nobody reads big blocks of text anymore. Sad but true. Our infographic designs take your boring data and make it visual.
Healthcare companies use us to explain medical procedures. Tech firms show their research findings. Educational groups break down survey results. When done right, infographics get shared 3x more than regular content. That’s not us saying that – that’s just how social media works.
We handle the whole thing – custom icons, layout, color schemes, data visualization. You give us the information, we make it look good.
Real estate developers and architects – this one’s for you. We create 3D renderings of buildings before they’re built. Helps you sell units, get funding, secure approvals.
Done projects all over California. Residential stuff in Orange County, commercial buildings in San Francisco, mixed-use developments everywhere. The renderings are photorealistic enough that most people can’t tell they’re not actual photos.
Exterior views, interior designs, landscape plans we do it all. Much faster and cheaper than traditional architectural rendering companies too.

Your app needs more than just buttons. We design the illustrations that make your user experience better onboarding screens, empty states, error messages, feature highlights.
These are the little touches that make users go “wow, this app feels polished.” Not super expensive either, but makes a huge difference in how professional your product feels.

Size doesn’t matter much we’ve done work for 2-person startups and Fortune 500 companies. What matters is whether you care about standing out.
Our process is pretty straightforward No unnecessary complexity
First call is just talking What do you need? Who's your audience? What's your budget look like? Takes maybe 30 minutes We ask a lot of questions because vague projects always end badly
Then we create some rough concept sketches Usually show you 2-3 different directions we could go These are rough on purpose - no point spending a week on something you might hate You pick what you like, we refine it
Once you're happy with the concept, we create the final illustrations Depending on complexity, this takes anywhere from a few days to a few weeks You get two rounds of revisions included Honestly, most projects don't even use both rounds
Last step is delivery We give you the files in whatever formats you need - vectors, PNGs, JPEGs, whatever works for your project
